Managing your video library just got significantly more flexible. With the latest update, Unifium introduces remote storage support (SMB, FTP, FTPS, SFTP and WebDAV protocol), allowing you to stream videos directly from your servers—without downloading them to your device.

Unifium now supports multiple remote protocols, giving you seamless access to your content wherever it’s stored:

  • SMB (NAS / Local Network Drives)
  • FTP / FTPS
  • SFTP
  • WebDAV

Whether your videos are on a home NAS, a remote server, or cloud storage, you can browse and play them instantly.

This feature is built for users who manage large or distributed media libraries.

Key advantages:

  • No need to transfer large video files
  • Save local storage space
  • Instant playback from remote sources
  • Access your full library anytime
Unifium supports secure protocols like SFTP and FTPS, ensuring your data remains protected during streaming. You can confidently access both local and remote servers with stability and control.

Getting started is straightforward:

  1. Open Settings → Servers
  2. In the Servers screen, tap Menu → Add new server
  3. Enter your server details
  4. Tap Connect

Once connected, your remote files will be ready to browse and play.

With remote streaming, Unifium evolves beyond a local video player into a complete media hub. Whether you're streaming from a NAS at home or accessing files from a remote server, your content is always within reach.
